Raghad Resres

Raghad Resres is a Jordanian-Palestinian artist whose practice is grounded in research. She holds an MFA in Fine Arts from the University of Gothenburg in Sweden and a BA in Literature and Cultural Studies from the Hashemite University in Jordan. Through the making of talismans, installations, and collective rituals, Raghad explores the intersection between spiritual healing and conceptual art in dialogue with liberational psychology. She works with spiritually charged materials such as wild clay, indigo, rusted metals, and even bones, carefully selected from sites imbued with historical weight rooted in resistance to colonial violence against Indigenous peoples. Her work has been exhibited in diverse contexts, ranging from refugee camps to solo and group exhibitions both locally and internationally, including in Sweden, Lithuania, and Jordan. She has also participated in several artist residencies and received multiple grants dedicated to art and creative research.
