Gabriel Possamai

Gabriel Possamai (b. 1996) is a visual artist born in the territory now known as Brazil, on land historically inhabited and still claimed by the Xokleng-Laklãnõ, Kaingang, and Guarani indigenous peoples. His practice is grounded in a transdisciplinary approach shaped by a critical engagement with place, memory, and representation. Gabriel holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Escola de Música e Belas Artes do Paraná and a Meisterschüler degree from the Hochschule für Bildende Künste–Städelschule, where he studied under artists Laure Prouvost and Gerard Byrne.
