Based in Amman, Jordan, Ahmad Aldaoud is a designer and artist who explores the intersections of design practice, identity, and decoloniality. Working across mixed media, his practice utilizes everyday objects and a personal sense of attachment to and detachment from them, as vessels to question inherited narratives and underscore the enduring presence of colonial influence in daily life. Ahmad’s work has been exhibited in both local and international contexts, including Manara Culture, A Migrant Experiences Exhibition, an auction for funding an arts department, and voluntary donation markets. With a strong interest in socially engaged art and design, his practice aims to provoke dialogue and reframe the ways in which collective identity is perceived and critiqued.
