Basil AlZeri is a cross-disciplinary visual artist and educator. AlZeri’s work is rooted in his ongoing fascination with how people spend their time (living), from the moment they wake up to the late hours of the night and while they sleep. He explores the intersection of art, education, and food through mediums such as performance, drawing, video, and ephemeral installations. AlZeri studied fine arts and pedagogy at the American University in Cairo, the University of Ottawa, and the University of Guelph, and has exhibited and participated in art residencies in cities like Amman, Dubai, Montreal, New York, and Toronto.
